1) The induction withstand voltage of voltage transformers is usually measured at a third harmonic (150Hz), but the waveform of the third harmonic voltage is prone to distortion, resulting in inaccurate withstand voltage and partial discharge test data; We choose to use a variable frequency power supply instead of triple frequency. The output voltage waveform of the variable frequency power supply is a standard sine wave, with no distortion, and the test data is more accurate;
2) The frequency of the variable frequency power supply is adjustable from 40-300Hz. For some specially designed voltage transformers (such as 6kV/√ 3), the rated voltage factor is 1.9 times. When using a triple frequency (150Hz) for induction withstand voltage, the test voltage cannot be raised. At this time, the frequency of the variable frequency power supply can be increased to achieve the test voltage.
