Polaris power transmission and distribution network: Recently, the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") of the Beidou Satellite Navigation System of China Southern Power Grid Corporation was released. According to the Planning, China Southern Power Grid Corporation is building an operation service platform integrating basic modules such as Beidou location service, short message communication management and time-frequency monitoring. According to the plan, the platform will be put into operation at the end of June this year. At that time, it can provide Beidou high-precision positioning services for Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan provinces and regions.

Beidou high-precision positioning service can reach the meter level, sub-meter level, centimeter level and millimeter level, and will play an important role in the autonomous inspection of unmanned aerial vehicles and geological disaster monitoring in the power grid. According to the Plan, in 2022, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will achieve full coverage of independent patrol inspection of 500 kV and above lines; In 2025, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will build at least 300 Beidou high-precision geological hazard monitoring stations to provide accurate and real-time geological hazard monitoring and early warning services for transmission lines in the power supply area of China Southern Power Grid. At present, China Southern Power Grid Corporation has piloted the application of geological disaster monitoring in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces and regions, improving the safety management and disaster early warning capability by monitoring geological changes and tower status in real time.

The Plan systematically describes various power application scenarios of China Southern Power Grid Corporation in promoting the integration of Beidou application and power business from three aspects of infrastructure construction, platform construction and business application, and carries out in-depth application of Beidou system in eight business areas, including biotechnology, infrastructure, materials, marketing, dispatching, safety supervision, international and public. During the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period, China Southern Power Grid Corporation will further expand the application scope of Beidou system in power business based on the characteristics of the power industry, use the self-developed Beidou operation service platform and related terminal equipment to create a series of typical demonstration applications with the company's characteristics, and carry out data collection and sharing based on the company's unified data center to improve the level of smart grid data sharing and intelligent decision-making.

It is reported that China Southern Power Grid Corporation has fully completed the construction of 607 base stations covering the power supply area by the end of 2020, and actively carried out the research on key technologies of Beidou system and the construction of joint laboratories.
